Beruflicher Werdegang:
Jan de Graaf is Junior Professor European History at the Ruhr University Bochum and member of the Young Academy of Europe. He leads the junior research group „Europe’s Postwar Consensus: A Golden Age of Social Cohesion and Social Mobility?“, funded by the Sofja Kovalevskaja Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung. Prior to coming to Bochum in 2019, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the KU Leuven (Belgium), where he worked on a comparative project of wildcat strikes as a pan-European phenomenon funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO). He obtained his PhD from the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom) in 2015. A revised and extended version of that thesis was published in the New Studies in European History book series of Cambridge University Press.
